Dr. Peter Chahee Cho was born and raised in Seoul, Korea, until high school, and then immigrated to Boston, MA. He came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the St. John’s Korean Methodist Church, Lexington, MA, and has been ordained as a deacon at the Middletown Baptist Church, Middletown, RI, 1997. Since 2011, he is attending the Shining Star Community Church (Sung Kwang), Falls Church, VA. He and his wife, Kimberly, have been married for 30 years; have three adult sons and two daughters. Currently he is serving the Prassion - Prayer Center for Global Ministry, as an Executive Director (Acting) since November 2016.
Dr. Peter Cho’s professional job is to serve the US Navy as a leader in science and technology last 25 years as
a researcher, branch head, director, and project manager for underwater and surface vehicles (electrical power systems) at naval research laboratories (1988-present). He also has had commercial experiences at General Motors/Delco Remy Division; ETechno-Group, Inc; and Wavecrest Laboratories, LLC, (1998-2004).
BS & MS degrees, in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, 1986-1987
Ph.D. degree, in Systems Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, 1995
Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, from Anderson University, 2001
Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity Fundamentals at Naval Postgraduate School, 2016
Published more than 60 technical papers and holds 29 United States patents
Served the Board of Trustees at the University of Massachusetts,
as an elected Graduate Student Representative, 1985-1986.
Awarded the Meritorious Civilian Service Award (second highest civilian award), US Navy, 2012
Awarded the Associate Director of the Year, Office of Naval Research, 2008
Served as US Embassy Science Fellow, US State Department, Seoul, Korea, 2015
