Dr. Harry Fletcher

 

Harry E. Fletcher has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) from Washington Bible College; a Master of Theology Degree (Th.M.) from Capital Bible Seminary; and a Doctor of Ministry Degree (D. Min.) from Luther Rice Seminary.  He served for thirty years as a Pastor.  Harry served as President of Washington Bible College/Capital Bible Seminary from 1984-91.

 

Harry was the third chaplain with Good News Jail & Prison Ministry from 1966-68.  From 1999-2017, Harry served as Vice President of International Ministry & Pastoral Care for Good News Jail & Prison Ministry, based in Henrico, Virginia.  On July 1, 2017, his succession plan was complete when Gary Franz was appointed as Vice President of International Ministry.   The Board of Directors created a new position for Harry as Global Ambassador which he assumed on July 1, 2017.  Good News is the largest supplier of chaplains in the world for correctional facilities. They have over 400 chaplains serving in 22 states, 25 foreign countries, and one U.S. territory.

 

Harry and his wife Muriel have been married for 56 years. They have two daughters, two sons-in-law, six grandsons, and one great-grandson.
