Seung Ug Jeong​, the eighth and current president of

the Korea-U.S. National Prayer Breakfast, Washington, D.C.

Seung Ug Jeong is the President of the Korea-U.S. National Prayer Breakfast (KUSNPB), assuming the role in December 2023.

A seasoned leader in the financial sector, he has served as President of GTAX Consulting Group since 2021. GTAX is a nationwide tax service provider in the United States, offering a comprehensive range of services including Tax Preparation, Tax Resolution, Tax Planning, and Tax Advisory Services.

His commitment to community service extends beyond the business realm. He holds the position of Senior Vice President at the National Association of Korean American Enrolled Agents (NAKAEA), a role he began in 2024.

From mid-2013 to mid-2021, he served as Secretary General at Prassion, where he was instrumental in igniting prayer movements, spiritual revivals, and missionary initiatives. His dedication to faith-based endeavors continues with his involvement in the Washington Prayer Coalition since 2022, where he actively participates in united prayer movements.

He pursued his academic journey at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Law. Furthering his legal expertise, he obtained an LLM and a Ph.D. from Seoul National University in 1990 and 1998, respectively. Specializing in commercial law, he has shared his knowledge as a lecturer at Hongik University and Chung-Ang University. He also served at the Supreme Court Case Review Committee, contributing his legal acumen to the judicial process. In the wake of the IMF crisis, he played a crucial role in corporate and financial restructuring at the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC).

Demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit, he also established and managed language schools with his wife, operating them in both Korea and the Philippines.

He is a devoted member of the Korean Central Presbyterian Church, where he has served in various capacities, including teaching at the Korean language school, senior's minstry and contributing to couples' growth programs.

He is happily married to Young Sun Kim, and they are blessed with three daughters: Hannah, Shua, and Hayun.
